Sofia talked to Access Hollywood about her cancer scare and her boyfriend’s frightening car wreck.

The 38-year-old is going to get some behind-the-scenes and on-camera bonding time with her teenage son, Manolo! How sweet!

Apparently it’s take your son to work day on the set of the Emmy-winning sitcom Modern Family. Sofia Vergara, who plays hot-tempered trophy wife, Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, opposite Ed O’Neill’s character Jay Prichett, on the ABC sitcom, is going to be co-starring with her real life son, Manolo! “He’s excited about it. And, of course, she adores every minute with him,” a friend tells In Touch.

“Manolo got a taste of fame appearing in the Got Milk? campaign with his mom,” the insider reveals. The Colombian-born beauty’s 18-year-old son will play a relative who comes to visit the family in California and decides to stay for good, according to the magazine.

Sofia, 38, is so good on the show that we have high hopes for her son! Will you watch his Modern Family debut? We wouldn’t miss it for the world.
